Our policy

Nondiscrimination statement

Who we welcome, and how to raise a concern.

Effective

Who we welcome

Pacific Crest Institute LLC welcomes students of any race, color, religion, ancestry, national or ethnic origin, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, disability, medical condition, genetic information, marital status, citizenship, primary language, immigration status, or any other status protected by law.

We don’t discriminate on any of these grounds in admission to our programs, in our classes, in scholarships and financial aid, in what we charge, or in hiring and treating the people who work with us. In hiring and in how we treat the people who work with us, we don’t discriminate on race, religious creed, color, national origin, ancestry, physical or mental disability, reproductive health decision making, medical condition, genetic information, marital status, sex, gender, gender identity or expression, age (40 and over), sexual orientation, military or veteran status, or any other status protected by law.

What it covers

This statement covers everything we run: the Saturday Art Institute, test prep and tutoring, the online and private courses we offer, our scholarships, and our store. Some programs are for certain grades or levels, like a middle school math contest, and we help each family pick the one that fits the student. We’re happy to talk through the right fit for any student. We are not certified to enroll students on an F-1 student visa, so we cannot issue the documents those students need.

Raising a concern

If you think you or someone else was treated unfairly at PCI, please tell us. Email info@pacificcrestinstitute.com with “Concern” in the subject, or call (858) 888-3156. We read every report and decide what to do about it. We share a report only with the people who need it to look into it.

You can also take a discrimination concern to someone outside PCI at any time: the California Civil Rights Department, the state agency for discrimination complaints, at calcivilrights.ca.gov or 800-884-1684.

No retaliation

We won’t treat anyone worse for raising a concern in good faith or for helping us look into one.
