Leads curriculum, instruction, and technology, teaches the Art Institute studio, and colors Sonic comics professionally.
Ethan co-founded Pacific Crest Institute to run the deep, professionally anchored programs a school week has no room for. They lead curriculum, instruction, and technology, and manage the partnership with Floating Island Productions.
Ethan teaches the Art Institute's Saturday studio personally: drawing fundamentals, light and color theory, pipelines in Clip Studio Paint and Photoshop, and the production steps that turn a student's page into a printed hardcover with the student's name in the credits. They teach it as a working professional. Ethan is a comic book colorist credited on Knuckles Omnibus Vol. 1, The Shadow Files, and Scott Shaw's Sonic Days, where they colored every page Scott Shaw drew.
Pacific Crest Institute also offers Contemplanda online courses directly to its own students; Ethan is the author of that courseware platform. The Art Institute curriculum is taught at High Bluff Academy too — a separate partner school — where Ethan leads the course and serves as Director of Technology, Curriculum and Instruction. They have taught mathematics, statistics, and computer science since 2013 and write curriculum for the College Board's AP Precalculus and SpringBoard programs. B.S. in Mathematics and Economics, Michigan State University. M.S. in Economics, UC San Diego.
